DAN receives grant from Pedigree Foundation again this year!

The PEDIGREE Foundation receives hundreds of applications each year from across the country from animal shelters and rescues searching for funds to assist with the welfare, medical care, and adoption of shelter animals. After a thorough evaluation process, the Doberman Assistance Network application was approved and our organization was awarded a grant for the second consecutive year. DAN will use this money to further our mission to save the lives of Dobermans and work to find them wonderful rescues and forever homes. This award comes at a critical time of the year and we are most appreciative to the PEDIGREE Foundation.

Each year, more than four million dogs are available for adoption at breed rescue organizations and animal shelters. Sadly, only a fraction of these dogs ever find homes. This startling statistic was a rallying cry for the Mars PEDIGREE® Brand. The PEDIGREE Foundation is a

philanthropic organization dedicated to helping dogs in need of loving homes by providing grants to 501C3 dog shelters and breed rescue organizations and helping dog lovers, adopt, volunteer and make donations. Through a variety of consumer and trade programs the PEDIGREE Foundation hopes to raise $1.5 million in 2010 that will go to support needy dogs in shelters and rescues all over the country.
